Job Description : Job Summary: The Corporate Assistant Controller is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions in a highly diverse multi entity environment, being a leader in the accounting team, assisting with all hands-on accounting aspects of the company and working collaboratively with the Corporate Controller and senior management in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. This is a hands-on role requiring strong financial, bookkeeping, and accounting skills.
Essential Duties / Tasks / Responsibilities:
Perform daily operations and processes of the accounting department including:
Accounts payable and receivable
Cash flow management and forecasting
Expense tracking and intercompany reimbursables
General ledger management
Fixed asset tracking
Monthly accruals
Month and year end processes
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Work with colleagues to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Ensure underlying accounting records are accurate, complete in accordance with US GAAP and record keeping complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting periodic internal audits.
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
Attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings as required.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three (3) years of prior accounting experience including experience as either an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and colleagues.
BS in Accounting or equivalent education.
