Job Description : Position Overview:
Assists in supervision of daily department operations, staff supervision, project management, staff and patient education, and the supervision, coordination and evaluation of all department functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Will assist in activities to provide cost-effective and high quality care according to the policies, procedures and standards. Is a professional who possesses advanced knowledge of local, state, federal and other health care regulations; and advanced clinical knowledge and skills. He/she will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing changes in policies, practices, and standardized procedures based upon input from staff and administration, while working to remain congruent with current laws and regulatory standards while promoting optimal patient care. The incumbent will also be responsible for acting as a role model and resource/consultant for staff development. This individual will be a contributor with assisting in developing/revising/implementing hospital-wide policies and procedures, related forms, and MD orders which follow all regulatory guidelines on an organizational level.
Qualifications:
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
Graduate of accrdited school of nursing (preferred) Or
Graduate of accredited program of relevant discpline required
Licensures and Certifications
Basic Life Support Certificaiton- BLS required
Registered Nurse-State Licensure – RN or Registered Vascular Technologist – RVT preferred Or Licensed in the area of specialty
Experience:
Two years recent experience in relevant discipline required
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to plan, lead, organize and promote a team approach and spirit of continuos performance improvement; coach, develop and teach others and to communicate clear and consistant expectations.
Effective communication, leadership and customer service skills as demonstrated by: ability to articulate well; consistently applying critical thinking skills; facilitating conflict resolution; adaptable and flexible to a varity of situations.
Has organizational skills.

Exhibits friendly and professional demeanor.
Maintains confidentiality.
Demonstrates commitment to customer service and promotes a postitive perception of the department and hospital.
