Summary of Job Function: Placement of all patients to appropriate room assignment and level of care, after interview of patient/clinician and hospital department staff to obtain diagnostic, demographic and financial information. Creation of the demographic and financial patient record and maintaining same across the continuum of care.
Job Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Medical terminology knowledge
Medical insurance knowledge
Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
Successful completion of department specific orientation
Successful completion of CPAR examination within one year after hire
