Job Description : We are hiring for a fast-paced, growing manufacturing company where each employee contributes to the culture of integrity, innovation, and teamwork.We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who can thrive in a changing and challenging environment.A successful candidate will exhibit a commitment to excellence and integrity by striving to perform any and all tasks with upmost accuracy and efficiency, maintaining a positive attitude, and demonstrating a strong work ethic.Core Responsibilities:· Serve as Controller with company-wide accounting duties· Oversee all aspects of inventory management/controls throughout the entire production cycle· Coordinate closing the inventory at month and year-end for multiple locations· Oversee year-end physical inventory count and reconciliation for multiple locations· Maintain the integrity of the average cost data in the ERP system· Maintain inventory item codes in the ERP system· Provide support for costing issues related to data processing of the purchase of inventory· Maintain production general ledger links in the ERP system· Maintain/add inventory cost operations and general ledger links in the ERP system· Assist with inventory length/item code changes in the ERP system· Monitor inventory transactions, update general ledger, gather and analyze data, perform audits and assessments, and produce regular inventory reports· Observe and be alert for any inventory inconsistencies and discrepancies, dealing with them according to proper policies and regulations· Prepare daily consumption/production reports· Review credit card charges, obtain copies of receipts, and reconcile statement· Prepare daily bank deposit summary· Distribute bills/mail· Maintain files of titles, equipment lists, renew registration, pay taxes, process insurance changes for additions/dispositions for company vehicles and equipment· Oversee all aspects of fixed asset maintenance (additions, dispositions, construction in progress), including determination of proper general ledger coding in accordance with the application of IRS tangible property regulations “repair regulations”· Process trucking garage bills, prepare invoices, and oversee parts inventory and controls for internal trucking segment in QuickBooks Enterprise· Prepare and book closing journal entries· Prepare and coordinate exhibits for annual financial statement audit· Coordinate flow of industry publications to owner and management· Review positive pay uploads, reconcile auto drafts, post cash clearing entries, perform card analysis for customer payments, and prepare BBC report for bank covenants· Gather and maintain files of permanent company documents and reports· Perform account reconciliations· Other duties and responsibilities as requiredExperience/Skills:· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Comparable Experience· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on controllership, costing and management accounting experience or equivalent inventory/management accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment, preferably lumber or furniture industry· Superior knowledge of product costing, inventory management· Advanced experience working with an integrated ERP system, Epicor/LumberTrack, MS Dynamics Great Plains desired· In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)· Experience with combined financial statements, intercompany eliminations· Superior agile Excel skills· Comfortable in a rapidly changing environment· Ability to successfully work independently· Strong written and oral communication skills· Ability to lead or be a significant contributor to improvement projects· Ability to work with, and gain cooperation from, people at all levels of the organizationJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDisability insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Granite Falls, NC 28602: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Controller: 5 years (Preferred)Inventory Management: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
