Let’s do great things together!Position Description – This new position (as a result of internal growth and outside growth capital) will report directly to the CFO in their Katy, TX office. The position will work closely with the senior leadership team as well as the accounting staff and will primarily be responsible for:› Managing the timely preparation and consolidation of the financial statements and cash flow statements which includes running the monthly close process and assembling the monthly close package.› Working closely with the Company’s external audit and tax and helping to coordinate the Company’s annual audit and tax returns including leading a conversion project from tax cash books to GAAP accrual books. Manage the annual R&D tax credit process.› Managing the registration process, as needed, and reviewing and filing monthly, quarterly and annual state & local sales & ad valorem tax returns.› Leading a project to document the Company’s accounting policies & procedures and internal controls. Upon completion, maintain and ensure the ongoing compliance with these controls.› Preparing quarterly bank compliance calculations and assisting in the creation of the financial results section of the board of directors’ presentation.› Leading an ERP implementation and conversion from QuickBooks to a professional service focused cloud-based ERP system.› Supporting the internal audit function associated with the Company ISO certifications.› Hiring and management of the accounting staff as the Company continues to grow.› Assisting in the creation of the Company’s annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts, and weekly cash forecasts› Assisting with other accounting and corporate finance special projects as needed, including merger and acquisition integration and due diligence, due diligence, and other transaction support items.Position Qualifications – the person must possess the following qualifications:› Bachelors and Masters Degree in Accounting› Licensed CPA› 7-10 years of total experience, with prior public accounting (Big 4/Major Regional) experience and/or posses a strong current knowledge of GAAP› Strong supervisory and management experience in a corporate accounting setting and experience running a month close and reporting process› Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a great attention to detail› Solid process improvement skills, and a proven change agent› Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with senior management on a regular basis› Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on having extremely strong Excel analysis skills› ERP conversion experience a plus.Position Compensation – the position is a high profile, management-level position with a compensation plan (depending on experience), as follows:Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $65.00 – $80.00 per hourPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):Are you a licensed CPA?Experience:GAAP: 7 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
