Job Description : Provide financial leadership in the development and implementation of business strategies, objectives, and operating plans to ensure fiscal soundness, operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction and shareholder value for the North America Operations Business.
Develop and lead a finance team responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of North America Operations business in collaboration with leadership team and Controller (Plan, Forecast & Actuals)
Prepare routine and ad hoc financial packages and reports to support management on ongoing business activities and the Monthly Operating Review process (MOR)
Collaborate with business leaders to develop and validate the North American Operations Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plans (LRP) and perform the consolidation and presentation of the Operations AOP and LRP.
Provide Operations Management Team with qualified financial analysis and advice in matters such as, pricing, make versus buy decisions, cost reductions, asset management, forecasting, and the budgetary process.
Automate and streamline processes and reporting tools in collaboration with IT to drive critical KPIs for the business
Analyze and interpret the financial performance of all of the businesses included in the Operations portfolio. This includes development of related performance reports as required.
Provide leadership in ensuring that internal controls over financial reporting comply with JSOX as defined by Panasonic
Responsible for the financials related to our ~ 25 North American Branch locations business. Responsibilities include accounting, forecasting, AOP, and preparation of the LRP. This position provides overall financial guidance for the Operations Team and works closely with the Vice President, Operations to drive the overall strategy and to provide and drive consistency throughout the operations. Position is integral in driving revenue growth, profitability, and providing support and guidance for manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
MBA or CPA certification preferred
12 years of increasing finance/accounting experience with 5+ years of leadership experience managing leadership roles.
Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and email applications (Access, Oracle, and others)
Solid knowledge of general accounting, ability to interpret and administer accounting policies
Proficient in planning, forecasting, and budget development
Strong decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences through diplomacy and tact.
Ability to work well in a matrixed organization.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
Well experienced with various Cost Accounting methods
Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and lead in a dynamic fast-paced environment
