Job Description : The Head of Marketing, Communications and Business Development supports KONE’s business to meet its objectives and contributes to the further development of KONE India’s business performance by creating demand for KONE solutions, enhancing customer & employee experiences, and by building the KONE brand and visibility in the market.

Marketing Communications and Business Development:

Supports and leads the Marketing, Communications and Business development related developments and activities to support India’s business performance and the organizations’ competitive position. Accountable for building the local Marketing, Communications and business development plan taking direction from the Global/Area plans. Ensuring the smooth deployment of global initiatives across India and acting as one contact point for the Marketing and Sales Renewal Program deployment. Align with the global and APA marketing & communications initiatives to ensure synergy of brand positioning, marketing & communication material and activities as well as share best practices from India.

Business Development:

Develop and implement a business development strategy that is aligned with the unit/area/global organization’s overall vision. Lead, direct, and control all business development activities to meet the organization’s short and long-term business objectives.

In Front Line Units, this role focuses on the development of sales, sales support, major projects and key accounts as well as in ensuring the New Equipment business (NEB) & SEB achieves specific targets across the regions through market expansion and development of existing market.

Responsibilities and key activities:
MARKETING
Participate in business planning with the Executive Team to develop a marketing and communications strategy that is based on global marketing strategies and local business requirements and consistent with KONE’s overall mission, vision, and long-term objectives. Ensure globalization localization of KONE marketing processes and material and also providing input from local market to Area and Global plans ensuring local flavour as required.
Demand Creation
Manage marketing resources, developing interactive sales tools and digital touch points.
Support business lines and Regions during the transformation.
Create and implement a digital marketing vision to improve sales and enhance offering & differentiation..
Customer Experience
Track the customer journey along every touchpoint and create a seamless experience for the customer using an Omni-channel approach
Deployment of the global initiatives from Marketing and Sales Renewal.
Collect, track and analyze customer feedback metrics and suggest improvements internally based on insights. Help measure metrics such as NPI to gauge how the brand is performing on Customer experience (CX) parameters
Understand buying behaviour and effectively use customer feedback results to support the transformation.
Improve focus on customer. Plan and manage external events to promote KONE, including roadshow, according to global guidelines and utilize global concepts and tools.
Liaise with other executives across the organization (particularly in the sales and customer service functions) to ensure that marketing strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
Business Insights
Work with internal stakeholders to enhance the use of strategic analysis through use of CRM. Collaborate internally to ensure intelligence is shared to allow tactical decision making and implementation.
Plan and lead market, competitor, and customer intelligence activities: Monitor, analyze and evaluate local market trends and segments, customer/influencer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities; adjust marketing and communications strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Positive result oriented digital campaigns in social media according to the global social media policy
Market development:
Development and execution of marketing and communications strategies and actions to support KONE’s success
Building KONE brand and reputation (awareness and content)
Customer feedback and Net Promoter Score
Employee advocacy and engagement
Number of leads in selected segments
Ensure prominent presence in external & internal events and exhibitions
Analysis of Orders Received
COMMUNICATIONS
External Communications
Support the achievement of business goals by managing KONE’s reputation and brand.
Position KONE as an innovative and sustainable market leader
Ensure the deployment of global initiatives locally as required.
Manage and strengthen relationships with external vendors and agencies.
Enhance KONE’s digital presence, with Content Marketing initiatives that drive customer engagement with the KONE brand.
Ensuring crisis management plans are in place for unit.
Excellent understanding of using different marketing and communications tools and channels for effective communication.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of target audience, highly effective writing style and expertise in high-impact messaging to a wide audience within the front line.
Internal Communications
Develop an internal communications strategy and provide direction for organizationally- significant content delivered via various employee communications platforms including but not limited to the KONE intranet, executive communications, and employee networking and KONE social channels managed by the internal communications team.
Ensure the deployment of global initiatives locally as required.
Partner with the HR Director and People Team to develop an internal communications that enhance KONE’s employment value proposition, employee engagement and brand advocacy.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at unit, area and global management team level to develop and implement a business development strategy that aligns with the unit, area and global organization’s overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
Successfully implement and maintain global policies, processes and practices so that KONE’s short and long-term business objectives are met
Market expansion and penetration strategy and implementation through our teams, distributors and agents as per strategy and agreed goals
Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage the most complex or strategically important business opportunities, for example sales, projects, consulting engagements, partnerships, alliances, mergers, or acquisitions that will contribute to the organization’s short and long-term business goals.
Evaluate the findings of market research/analysis and utilize the information in business development and assess the viability of alternative opportunities, and present recommendations to unit/area/global business leaders.
Establish high-level, significant relationships with potential clients, customers, partners, key decision-makers, and industry leaders (for example in government or industry associations) to promote the organization’s products and services.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers and professionals to achieve established sales and business development goals. ,
Business Development Function will have the following responsibilities in a front line unit:
Implement KONE Customer processes, development of sales skills/tools (e.g., CRM)
Implement agreed development programs in co-operation with business verticals and regions
Responsible for strategic accounts and major projects
Responsible for managing the distributors and agents
