Job Description : Interim Tax Director – 3 months+ project – Irvine!!!Our client is a dynamic, fast-paced publicly-traded tech company that is in need of a Tax Director for the next three months. Due to an unexpected departure, our client is looking for a talented Director or Manager of Tax to assist with managing the third party tax advisors, preparing the company for year-end and assisting with the tax duties and responsibilities over the next three to four months.For the right person, this could be a “temp to hire” situation.This Interim Tax Director will serve as the resident expert and “go-to” person in the company for tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will be excited to take a hands-on approach to the role and work in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for oversight and support of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and month-end close processServe as the primary point of contact with third party tax advisors and manage all external tax requestsKeep up to date with new pronouncements and ongoing trends that will affect tax planning activities for the companyEnsure tax liabilities, reports, and files are accurate and tax payments are filed in a timely mannerProvide routine communication to management on all tax matters for the firmDesign and implement controls to ensure the Company’s tax liabilities and financial statements are accurate and in compliance with local and state laws as well as GAAPQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldPrior Public accounting tax experience required (Big 4 preferred)7+ years of total experience requiredExperience with partnership taxationStrong understanding of federal and multi-state corporate income taxationJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: From $75.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Irvine, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Corporate tax: 4 years (Required)direct tax preparation: 4 years (Required)partnership tax: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:CPA (Required)Work Location: One location
