AWS Worldwide Enablement, Training and Communications team (ETC) builds and delivers competency-based training to drive skill development and adoption of productivity tools for the AWS sales organization globally, ensuring that every engagement with our customers is high quality and productive. Within ETC, the Go to Field and Communications Team maximizes Field efficiency by building and managing the digital platforms for the launch and adoption of training products, and by providing relevant content to the right people at the right time through a well-designed experience, in concert with change management, curated communications, and easy to consume communication channels.

As the ETC evolves and scales its mission, and impact on the AWS business, the GTF and Communications team is looking for a Content Strategy and Knowledge Management Lead to play a key role in how we guide the storytelling process across multiple platforms, for various audiences, to help AWS global Field have valuable interactions with our customers.

The preference for this position is to be based in Jersey City, NJ but we are open to other AWS office locations including: Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Ballston, Boston, Chicago, Cupertino, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, East Palo Alto, Herndon, Houston, Irvine, Minneapolis, New York City, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Tempe, Sunnyvale, Santa Monica, and Seattle.

Key job responsibilities

Generate and publish new content, leveraging innovative communication strategies to addresses the needs and interests of our multiple stakeholders
Collaborate with site owners to plan and develop content, style, and layout
Clean-up, organize, and maintain site information to ensure relevant and timely updates
Optimize content by analyzing website traffic and user engagement metrics
Drive consistent, on-brand messaging and tone throughout our channels
Work closely with colleagues in enablement, field sales, marketing, business development, and other market-facing and support roles to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives that increase Field engagement
Draft and manage editorial calendars and schedules for standing forums
Edit٫ proofread and improve upon submitters’ articles
Remain current on developments and generate new ideas to draw attention of audiences
Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Marketing or Communications
Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in copywriting
Attention to detail
Demonstrates strategic confidence under tight timeframes
Proven ability to lead key stakeholders in adapting to change
Strong analytical abilities to spot patterns and trends in content marketing data

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $85,800 – $150,100/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
