WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
CSM needs your ‘digital first’ way of looking at the events industry. As an events business, we run over 70 shows worldwide and running events is our bread and butter. Engaging with our audiences for each of our events is critical throughout the year leading up to the physical event.
This new US based role will sit firmly between our data, sales and marketing teams to ensure that we are using sophisticated systems, processes and digital strategies that are available to us. You will be looking at the various strategies available to successfully bridge traditional with digital. Creating and connecting journeys which are not only reflective of industry leading brands but give new opportunities to driving incremental value.
This person will look at what and how we use digital channels across our shows and create a strategy for the business to create more targeted and personalised marketing both to our audiences and our customers.
THE ROLE:
Develop and implement budget and campaigns for SEO, paid media and lead nurturing strategies across multiple events and/or brands
Forecast marketing campaign growth and ROI for marketing campaigns
Manage email and social media marketing campaigns both organic and paid across YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
Use tools to monitor site and campaign performance and implement improvements, such as SEMrush and HotJar
Management of the Google platform across the business (Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, Payments, Ads, Ads Manager, Data Studio)
Develop workflows and utilize Salesforce and inhouse CRM to nurture better quality leads for exhibitor sales and attendee prospects
Create monthly reports against KPIs with recommendations for improvement
Working with internal and external stakeholders including senior management, web development agencies and other partners to deliver on overall marketing and business objectives using digital channels
Create and manage link building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presences
Create automation strategies for event marketers
Generate raw leads from the websites using contact form completions, downloads and interactions with other web assets
Act as the project lead for digital activity, working collaboratively with peers to meet deadline and budgetary requirements
Keep up with new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information
Be innovative and suggest new ways of utilizing the latest digital techniques.

Online content management / web skills necessary
Basic understanding of HTML / Strong IT Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal
