Caterpillar is hiring a digital marketing strategist to support the internal creative agency to launch campaigns that support our clients business goals. In this role, you will lead the development of a variety of differing digital strategies for clients across the company and across the world to improve marketing campaign performance and ROI.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate client meetings, understand client objectives/needs to create plans that leverage digital marketing technologies available to Caterpillar.
Have a deep understanding of Caterpillar’s marketing technology from capabilities to governance surrounding platform usage.
Develop comprehensive digital marketing solutions, ensuring that recommendations are in line with best practices.
Research customer behavior in order to recommend which combination of channels, messages, creative, delivery methods and timing work best.
Develop strategy for marketing automation campaigns, digital media, and user experience.
Present digital recommendations to clients on a regular basis.
Serve as the liaison between the client service team and digital marketing implementation teams to ensure high quality digital campaigns are developed and executed properly for all clients.
Work with implementation teams to optimize digital campaign performance, based on solid metrics, for clients.
Explore new digital trends in the areas of website development, user experience, SEO, SEM, marketing automation and social media.
Basic Qualifications:
Position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university
5 plus years of experience in digital marketing
2 plus years of experience developing marketing automation campaign strategies.
Knowledge of best practices for a range of digital marketing communication channels and techniques, including marketing automation, e-mail, website strategy, CRM/database marketing, online advertising, SEM/SEO, and analytics.

Proven success in driving results-oriented marketing programs and strategies, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Eager to learn new applications and technologies.
Ability to articulate and convey technical concepts to a mixed audience.
This role is client facing and requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Display Network, Programmatic Display, and Tableau.
Strong analytical skills and experience with web and email analytic programs, such as Google Analytics.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects, simultaneously.
Exceptional client services, project management, and support skills.
