Job Description : We are hiring a Web Developer to work directly with customers to update and manage website content. This person will be dedicated to one of our larger accounts and will primarily be responsible for front-end development including implementation of design (CSS & HTML), dynamic interactivity, and animation. They will work directly with our design team, project managers and other developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create mobile-responsive HTML/CSS from provided designs using templating languages and CSS preprocessors (SCSS).
Implement vanilla JavaScript for front-end interactivity.
Implement animations using CSS3 animations and/or vanilla JavaScript.
Provide periodic back-end functionality using Node, PHP and/or other languages.
Enforce web standards compliance.
Ensure that websites are thoroughly tested and work across multiple platforms and browsers.
Help scope development projects and plan milestones, deliverables and timelines.
Present work to client stakeholders.
Introduce and implement innovative techniques and technologies.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
2-4 years experience.
Expert with HTML and CSS (HTML5 & CSS3). Experience with CSS frameworks is a plus – UIKit a major plus.
Expert with SCSS or other CSS preprocessor.
Advanced JavaScript knowledge. Expertise in Node and React is a huge plus.
Comfort with Git version control, especially workflows with multiple developers on the same code base.
Obsessive attention to detail, ensuring that websites match design pixel per pixel and applications are relatively bug free.
Ability to work with design files – especially Zeplin, Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks – and to pull image assets from designs.
Ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
Experience in Agile workflow is a plus.
Minor experience with PHP.
Motivated to research and learn about new technologies and practices.
Ability to work well with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Ability to work with remote collaborators.
Demonstrated ability to deliver professional presentations.
