NewMarket Group is seeking a Front-End Web Developer who is proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, able to juggle multiple initiatives at once and constantly think outside of the box. This Developer must be a driven and talented individual who is looking to use their technical skills to make impact for their business. They expect that their newest team member will help them figure out how to best utilize technology to solve challenging business problems and implement direct marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:
Manage tickets submitted by the Marketing and Creative teams to ensure all requests are set up correctly, on time and orders can be successfully processed
Create and update static HTML pages using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for cross platform experiences
Troubleshoot coding errors and clean up HTML/CSS on existing pages
Support other teams with any coding issues or debugging
Work with designers to create and enhance HTML templates
Set-up and manage order forms using their internal ecommerce application
Create pages that follow Accessibility best practices
Assist with trouble-shooting/Reporting system errors in their internal applications, the websites, and other marketing systems and processes
Identify and document area of improvement for the team and business overall
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
Demonstrated skills in Mobile First Responsive design
Solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to be highly adaptable
A strong ability and desire to learn new processes and coding practices
HTML,CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap experience
Have a working understanding of Accessibility best practices and how to implement
A strong ability to troubleshoot issues/bugs in your code
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other computer related field, or at least 1-2 years of related work experience is highly preferred
Expectations
Learn and be able to lay out a video landing page and HTML promotion page autonomously by the end of your first month
Utilize your skills to fully create a sales funnel in an internal ecommerce platform and understand what the customer experience is within 90 days
Other Beneficial Skills
Experience with GTM, Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools
A solid understanding of PHP, jQuery, and WordPress
Version control experience/an understanding of GitHub
Previous experience with AWS is a plus
JavaScript Experience (Angular/React)
Understanding of page speed optimization best practices
