You will support the eCommerce team and will be responsible for writing and maintaining code for the website, as well as testing and optimizing the site in support of the attainment of company goals. This role presents a tremendous amount of growth potential for those dedicated to building the next great American brand. The position is located in Dallas, Texas, and is not a remote position.
Primary Responsibilities
Write clean, efficient, well-formatted, well-documented code, following current best practices.
Collaborate with eCommerce team and Sr Developer to troubleshoot, identify potential issues, and formulate plans to improve the performance of our website.
Precisely follow direction from Sr Developer, according to established development patterns and brand guidelines.
Take design documents (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc) and convert them to performant, responsive code.
Develop and validate A/B and multivariate test opportunities and scheduling.
Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, site updates, browser testing, and support project requests quickly and efficiently.
Enthusiastic team player that other people love working with.
Requirements
Familiar with Liquid templating language, and the Shopify ecommerce development experience.
Good understanding of semantic, accessible HTML, and modern responsive layout techniques (CSS grid, flex, media queries, etc) and Javascript/jQuery.
Familiar with BEM code formatting and SASS extension language.
Experience with CraftCMS, GraphQL, Vue.js, and Git repositories is a major plus.
Have a realistic understanding of your development strengths and weaknesses, and be able communicate well with Sr Developer or eCommerce team when needing assistance (there are no stupid questions).
Detail oriented, highly reliable, hard-working, and efficient.
Humble and willing to learn, but bold enough to make suggestions for improvement.
Problem solver, with an ability to adapt to a rapidly changing situation.
Professional communicator with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
