Position : Front End Web Developer
Job Description : General Description: Works closely with creative design and back-end development teams to create HTML5/CSS3-based websites/applications for desktop and mobile platforms. Developer must possess a high-level understanding of back-end programming architecture and technologies used to develop web projects. A high-level of knowledge in design toolsets, and the methods of transforming creative elements for use as HTML based content also required.Core Duties and Responsibilities: · Extensive knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3· Extensive knowledge in JavaScript/JQuery/Ajax.· Thorough knowledge of design tools.· Ability to take a PSD/mock or concept and turn it into a working experience.· Ability to create user interfaces, using front-end code in HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript to interface with backend code.· Experience in creating exciting experiences on the iPad, iPhone and other mobile· Hand coding of CSS/XHTML (no Dreamweaver or FrontPage, etc.)· Prototyping of Website pages· Interaction design of Website pages· Recommendations for front-end technologies· Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Graphic Design preferred· 1-4 years’ experience as a front-end developer required· 2+ years’ experience with website front end coding and interaction design· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meets deadlines, effectively manage priorities and communicate progress.· Expert knowledge of standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.· Capable of converting Photoshop mock-ups into CSS/XHTML templates for back end developer’s use· Skilled with image optimization· Experience working on large-scale web initiatives· Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues· Strong understanding of usability and accessibility issues· Understanding of Content Management Systems· Experience designing Web 2.0 applications· Experience with CSS3 and HTML5.· Experience with mobile/responsive designJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Front-end development: 1 year (Preferred)CSS: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
