PCD Group, a digital agency headquartered in Portland Oregon, is looking for great people to join our highly talented, experienced team of designers and developers in delivering custom websites and web applications for our fortune 500 / 1000 clients in the financial service industry. Responsibilities will include new site development, content maintenance, and functional updates to client facing websites and web applications.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Work Experience: 5+ years’ professional experience working in a digital agency environment or as a professional developer in a corporate environment – willing to adapt to the fast pace agency environment. Proven experience and examples building corporate level-responsive design, multi-tiered microsites / websites.
Attention to Detail & Quality: Must be able to turnaround deliverables in a timely and efficient manner – with quality, accuracy, and a high level of attention to detail. Must have sound practices in QA (meeting original requirements, visual and content details, browser & platform testing).
Time Management Skills: Must be able to estimate and track time accurately and track progress through tasks and deliverables and work within schedules and defined timelines.
Work Ethic: Must have a strong work ethic, be very accountable and honest with a willingness to grow, actively learn new skills, and be a high performer – part of a highly performing team.
Remote Work: Must be able to successfully work remote during normal business hours, without external distractions and stay in touch with team and managers via Slack, email, Jira, and Zoom on a daily and routine basis.
Communication: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to proactively stay in touch and provide progress of daily status to project managers.
Requirements & Directions: Must be able to follow written and verbal requirements and instructions, identifying areas of question and ambiguity, while also ensuring accuracy in implementation.
Frameworks & Code: Must be able to work within existing frameworks and code-bases, as well as work on legacy sites / systems, in addition to developing new code from scratch.
Candidates must have the following technical skills:
HTML
Strong HTML5
Responsive website development and cross browser development / testing (IE 11, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Android, iPhone, and tablet devices)
Understanding of semantic elements
Coding best practices for ADA compliance requirements
Coding best practices for SEO
Implementation of Google Analytics and/or other web analytics such as Adobe Site Catalyst
CSS
Strong CSS3 with an understanding of flexbox, pseudo-class and attribute selectors
Familiarity with SASS – including using SASS variables, mixins, code linting
JavaScript
Strong experience with jQuery
Strong experience with JSON/AJAX
JS linting
JavaScript development without use of other third party libraries a plus
Experience with the following:
Templating with Mustache or Handlebars
Node / npm
Gulp
Scaffolding systems such as Bootstrap
Mojolicious
GIT and Subversion version control
Experience working in financial services, healthcare or other highly regulated industry is a plus
Experience with Full Stack development a plus
