Job Description : Who We’re Looking ForA highly skilled Part-Time Web Developer (potential to become Full-Time) focusing primarily on WordPress and Shopify. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.**This position is NOT for designers, software developers, or entry-level web developers.This person must: Be a team player who communicates effectively with their team, managers, and asks questions to ensure they complete each task correctly and efficiently.Have a strong background in building websites that are clean, functional, and responsive.Be able to take a website mockup provided by our graphic designers and build it in WordPress, matching the mockup and direction given as closely as possible.Have an understanding of code hierarchy and write CSS in a logical order along with proper use of custom classes and IDs without relying on default WordPress theme classes and IDs.Be comfortable with writing custom HTML modules in any theme.Have a broad understanding of different CSS styling options.Have a thorough QA process throughout and after the completion of a build to ensure that all aspects of a website are functioning correctly from the user standpoint on all browsers and devices.Have an overall understanding of the importance of the user journey and be able to see the big picture while having meticulous attention to detail.Be able to collaborate with our designers on functionality and user experience as needed. Asking clarifying questions is encouraged.Be able to exercise critical thinking, be proactive with day-to-day tasks, and take the initiative when the need arises.Effectively follow directions and take feedback.Be an organized problem solver who is capable of diagnosing and resolving an issue.Manage their time and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Help other web developers on the team with tasks big and small as needed.Be able to interact with a client as a professional, speak as a subject matter expert, and clearly answer client questions.And on top of all that, we need someone who realizes that they must always be learning no matter how much experience or knowledge they have.Who You’ll Be Working WithYour team will be made up of skilled developers, graphic designers, and marketing specialists.
