MS Investment Management Technology (IMIT)
Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology exclusively partners with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management business division to design and develop systems and integrate vendor products to globally support full life cycle business processing. Activities include Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Technology also provides holistic support and quality assurance across the suite of applications used in the MSIM environment.
Role Profile
In Equity Front Office Technology, we are rapidly transforming the way business is done. In the Portfolio Management area, we are building innovative products that provide decision support, improve efficiency, and eliminate risk. These new products are designed to have a modern look and feel and engineered to be fast and scalable. We seek a technical lead in our New York site to collaborate with our business counterparts to craft new solutions and deepen the partnership. This individual will also help the team design and develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms.

2. Java 8+ and SpringBoot micro-services
3. Distributed caching
4. SQL and NoSQL databases

Role Responsibilities:
1. Leading/participating in agile ceremonies and actively driving towards the teams goals.
2. Managing relationships with our New York based stakeholders.
3. Leading multi-year product development efforts.
4. Designing and developing modern and modular web applications using modern coding and testing standards.
5. Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists and mentoring.
6. Leading with ideas and innovation.
Skills Required:
Experience leading a technical project or a team.Experience working with front end technologies like Javascript and Typescript.
o Proven experience in building web applications in Angular or React.
o Experience in unit and integration testing Javascript applications.
and/or
Experience developing enterprise JAVA/Scala applications.
o Solid experience designing and building enterprise grade micro services.
o Solid experience writing unit, component and integration tests.
o Solid experience working with relational or NoSql database.
Skills Desired:
Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.Experience working directly with end users.Strong understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments with a focus on Equities.Strong computer science fundamentals.
