Job Description : JOB SUMMARY The HTML Developer is responsible for exercising good judgment and discretion regarding best email and HTML practices for University Marketing. Successful applicants are self-starters, and motivated to present department leadership with new and improved practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESExercise strong technical skills including an expertise in HTML; Understanding of Web development tools / technologies such as CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and JavascriptExercise strong work ethic, Superior attention to detail; Advanced organizational, time-management and work prioritization skillsAbility to function in a high pressure/high ambiguity environment; Strong bias toward action and results-oriented activitiesBasic send and deliverability monitoring; uploading HTML/Text content to email platform; Link tracking and email deployment using proprietary email platform.Work with project teams in coordinating and communicating content change requests and adhering to production schedulesQuality assurance of all emails, verifying dynamic content, applying dynamic content rules and configuring link tracking; dynamic content codingServe as expert on email best practices and educating others. Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission. Strong interpersonal communication skillsQUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALSEducation and Experience Preferred four-year college degree in Computer Science, or similar field, + 6 months experience, minimum. Well-developed communications skills.ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOBCommunication and Comprehension Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.Strong organizational skills.Excellent computer skills.Problem SolvingIntuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.Physical and Sensory Abilities Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.WORKING CONDITIONS Work EnvironmentThe working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting.
