WHAT YOUâLL DO:
The Front-End Web Developer will be responsible for the full development life cycle of front-end client website projects, from development kickoff to QA release. They will assist with definition and implementation of documentation standards and best practices. They are also responsible for communication with internal team members to develop technical solutions which meet client needs.
This position reports directly to the LeaseLabs Web Development Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Focus primarily on developing custom websites for LeaseLabs clients.
Commonly utilized technologies consist of Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, CSS/SASS, HTML, AngularJS, PostgreSQL
Participate in decision making concerning software architecture and design
Participate in code reviews
Mentor and assist in the training and on-boarding of other team members
Work closely with other members of the development team and stakeholders such as the Product Owner, Project Managers, Design Team, Client Success team, and QA
Maintain high standards, attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
Be able to work independently and with the team to hit deadlines
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
2+ years of experience in web development, agency experience is a bonus
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, across the organization, as well as work independently
Proven ability to meet goals in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
Flexible and able to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
Ability to work with and manage team members with a wide array of personality types
Knowledge of the “up and coming” web development trends, and a thirst to push boundaries with modern technology
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS/SASS, HTML, JSON
Working knowledge of one or more server-side technologies: (Ruby on Rails Preferred. Others will be considered.)
Experience working with client-side SPA frameworks/platforms such as Angular (experience with React, VueJS a bonus)
Experience with frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap
Proven ability to stay ahead of the curve with new technology
Expert ability to estimate, scope, and plan development projects
Experience using git in the console
Strong decision-making skills
