Position : Junior Front-End Web Developer
Job Description : Precise Systems is a professional services company currently working for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. Our core competencies include systems engineering, program and project management, logistics, information technology and cybersecurity, and software development services. We were founded in 1990 and since our establishment, we have been providing cutting-edge solutions and support to our warfighters. We understand and provide expert consultation on network and weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.
We are currently expanding our team and are seeking Junior Front-End Web Developers to support the front-end development of government business web applications. THIS POSITION IS FULLY REMOTE. This position will implement user interface designs and interactions using Vue.js, along with Vuetify as a design library, in a component-based web application with SASS. The position will take requirements from a Product Owner and work with a team to develop and implement pre-approved requirements and mockups. Additionally, the position will have internal design sessions to best strategize and formulate how to develop new requirements and change requests.
Development tools used include Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Microsoft DevOps utilizing a Git source control. The development methodology follows agile scrum processes.
Highly desired professional skills include the ability to troubleshoot and resolve bugs presented through the client by debugging through the API and database tiers of the application.
Additional desired professional skills include excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile scrum-like development cycle. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
Required Education:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or related field. Two years of additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of each year of education.
Required Experience:
The candidate should possess work experience in a professional environment. The candidate should possess one year of web development within a development/application framework and have experience working in a team-based environment with agile software development methodologies. A strong passion for modern JavaScript and eagerness to learn and improve on their skillset is a must.
Experience working with a CSS preprocessor like SASS/Stylus/LESS is preferred. The candidate will ideally have experience designing and developing components using Vue.js and experience with a Vuex store model. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. The candidate should possess work experience in a professional environment.
Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. All candidates must be eligible to obtain a US Secret Clearance.
