Position Summary: FINSYNC is looking for enthusiastic junior software developers to join our experienced software development team. You will report directly to the development manager and assist with all functions of software coding and design. Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase, and respond to requests from senior developers, and perform these fundamental job duties:
Assist the team with all aspects of software design and coding.
Attend and contribute to company development meetings.
Write and maintain code.
Work on minor bug fixes and provide technical analysis on how to avoid those issues long term.
Respond to requests from the development team.
Conduct development tests.
Provide a fresh perspective to our products and team structure.
Display ability to learn new technology quickly, and the ability to work in a team environment
What you will bring along:
1 – 3 years professional programming experience, working knowledge of one or more current programming languages used in web development. Think Ruby, Python, Javascript.
Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
Knowledge of databases, preferably PostgreSQL
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Self-learning and development of skills.
Strong work ethic and desire to consistently meet deadlines
