Position : Onboarding Software Engineer
Job Description : Purpose Statement
To provide the highest degree of technical support for implementation projects run through the Onboarding Team and Professional Services. This entails building out and supporting any and all aspects of the rating process to ensure our client’s are billing usage for their customers with the utmost accuracy.
Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities include usage related support & development, reproducing and fixing bugs, collaborating with other teams to solve technical issues, improving testing, documentation, implementing best practices and processes, and interfacing with clients.. The ideal candidate is results-focused, possesses good communication skills and is adept in all levels of web architecture and application development. You’ve developed multi-tiered cloud based web applications in the past and are exceptional at critical thinking and problem-solving.
Deliver exceptional customer experience through direct interaction with clients and stakeholders.
Quickly become proficient in Rev.io application architecture
Actively prioritize incoming work based on severity and importance
Communicate comfortably with technical and non-technical audiences
Provide timely enhancements, technical solutions, and bug fixes to complex features in all layers of the tech stack
Participate in architecture and design discussions with our Onboarding and other Development teams.
Provide the analysis and design to improve, automate and scale our code base.
Design Data Pipelines to process Usage detail records for clients in an efficient and scalable manner.
Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations across database and applications
Help build and maintain a test infrastructure for unit and low-level integration testing
Work collaboratively with third-party integrations, consultants, or client IT staff

Databases: Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (90%) and Redis (10%)

Characteristics
1 – 2 years of professional experience working in the discipline building Software as a Service applications.
Exhibit the ACT TOP values
Participation in open source community.
Firm understanding of SQL Server, with the ability to work extensively within a multi-terabyte environment. Strong SQL skills cannot be overemphasized.
.NET development experience, including debugging and reading of complex coding patterns.
Data Analytic skills using Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks
Past experience working on an Agile team is a plus.
Demonstrable talent in working under pressure and time constraints.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent listening skills.
Strong communications skills.
Ability to be self-directed and self-organized.
Ability to read and define requirements from technical specifications and user documentation.
Location: Based out of Rev.io’s office in Fairmont, West Virginia, near Morganton, West Virginia. Schedule is flexible (3 days in office, 2 days remote), additional flexibility possible as warranted.
