We are looking for a professional who has demonstrated expertise in information technology practices and procedures who can gather requirements, design, develop, modify and implement software applications, both developed in-house and purchased.Application Development/Support: Database Administration, Application Design, Application Development, Quality Assurance, Incident Management, Financial Management, Project Management, Document Management, Service Management, Production Application Services, or Middleware Management.Requires scheduled on-call availability.Job Duties: Participate and lead in the design, development, and maintenance of software tools and systems that will enhance the efficiency of the agency.Involved with design and maintain back-end data processing and data warehouse process for product data retrieval.Provides input for, and lead improvement efforts towards the efficiency of processes and/or projects.Create and maintain documentation of data related programs and processes.Analyze and revise existing and new data system software and documentation.Provide leadership by instructing, mentoring and training team members within and outside the work group.Experience with Web Services.Ability to convey technical and conceptual ideas/topics to non-technical personnel.Presentation skillsProject Management Skills.Familiarity with Windows environments.Experienced in Web Application Development.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Structured troubleshooting skills.Strong analytical skills.Programming Skills: ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#.NETJavaScript, HTML5iOS, Android preferredDatabases: MS SQL Server, OracleQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree granted by an accredited institution recognized by the U. S. Dept. of Education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related fieldSix (6) years’ experience in information technology specific to the assigned discipline (i.e. application development, database administration, etc.) that includes customer serviceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceAdditional qualifications as identified by the assignmentMust possess a valid Florida driver’s licenseConsideration for this position requires a credit checkApplicants must be tobacco/nicotine free for six months prior to submitting application and during length of employment.The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office strives to provide our employees with the best benefits possible.
