Join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for (ODASD) Environment & Energy Resilience (E&ER).
ODASD E&ER establishes policy and governance for programs and activities that enable resilience and cyber-secure energy for weapon systems and installations. This includes budgetary, policy, and management oversight of programs related to climate change, compliance with environmental laws, prevention of pollution, management of natural and cultural resources, and cleanup of contaminated sites, as well as energy resilience, risk, and performance.
As an ASP.NET Software Developer, you will be a valued member of a collaborative team of talented SW Engineers, developers, managers, and clients in a fast paced iterative and agile development environment. The team is working to improve the operation of the Department of Defense’s environmental and energy research and development (R&D) programs.
Qualified candidate will provide technical expertise for full life cycle development and support to this critical program, including:
Estimate and plan work items
Provide input on solutioning and/or UI/UX designs
Develop and test web-applications using .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL Server
Participate in release activities and troubleshooting
Work closely with the Product Owner to understand the business value of requirements and collaborate with a team to translate these needs into working software
Improve yourself and your team through ongoing idea-sharing, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Work with the Scrum Master to improve team performance and consistently deliver quality software on time and within budget
Recommend innovative solutions to improve our products
Client Engagement: · Learn about and support Noblis’ client engagement, corporate values, and corporate strategic priorities, including providing input to proposal writers. · Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals. · Participate in the proposal process by providing input to proposal writers. Qualifications:
Required minimum skills and knowledge:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
0-3 years experience in software development or web development
U.S. Citizen
Familiarity with .NET/C#, HTML/CSS, SQL, and JavaScript/jQuery
Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple tasks using Agile Scrum
Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey technical solutions with the team and create robust documentation
