DEPARTMENT: Big Corner Creative (BCC)
SUPERVISOR: BCC Director
SCHEDULE:
The BCC Web Developer must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
SUMMARY:
The BCC Web Developer is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining websites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain websites and accounts
Create website layouts/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices and WordPress CMS
Write and modify code to produce custom website features and functionality
Code and design visually appealing websites
Talk with clients with the goal of creating a website that is unique and represents their business professionally
Maintain, expand, and scale websites
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
Design, build, & maintain websites using the WordPress CMS
Understanding of SEO best practices and principles
Editing/writing website content
Website hosting & web server knowledge
Interpret website analytics data
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to master diverse web technologies and techniques
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Organization and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks within constraints of timelines
Efficient keyboarding skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well with personnel, customers, & vendors
Ability to resolve problems
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while dealing with customer relation inquiries
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Rare operation of motor vehicle
Light to moderate lifting (0-50 lbs)
Very frequent use of hand dexterity (keyboard, mouse)
Constant use of seeing and hearing
Occasional working as part of a group
Rare loud noise, dust/fumes/odors, and outdoor work (including wet conditions and variation in temperature)
