This is a great opportunity to be a part of phase two of the Company’s growth.Position OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced WordPress Web Developer to join our fast-paced, high-performance Marketing Team and help grow the various Source Code lines of business, which include edge devices, professional services, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI).This role includes a combination of both front-end and back-end responsibilities, from developing new web experiences that attract, engage, and convert visitors on multiple WordPress-based websites, to integrating third-party applications and managing our CMS and back-end infrastructure. New site builds or restructuring to support business acquisitions will occasionally be part of the job as well.You’ll partner with design and content professionals to drive a world-class web experience and ensure the websites are technically sound, optimized, and successful in helping us achieve our goals and KPIs. Occasionally, you will work with back-end developers in the Software Development team as they support ecommerce, non-WordPress-based websites, and other core company processes.We’re looking for a detailed, organized self-starter and the ultimate team player.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, update, and improve multiple WordPress-based digital propertiesParticipate in the full development lifecycle, including estimation, design, development, testing, and deploymentCollaborate with our creative leads to develop website designs and page components that provide an amazing web experienceBuild responsive, optimized pages in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHPContinually improve the CMS authoring experience to simplify and fast-track the creation of web content piecesManage integrations and APIsRecommend and implement technical SEO updatesManage our web hosting platform, making necessary improvements for optimal performancePartner with IT and enterprise security teams on server and site security projectsReview and respond to operational issues, escalating as necessarySkills and Experience4+ years of experience in front-end and back-end web development in a WordPress CMS, within a marketing agency or organization with multiple sites is preferredExperience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, and custom Gutenberg blocksExperience using premium WordPress themes (Astra, etc.) and builders (Elementor, etc.)Solid understanding of usability, responsive design, testing, and technical SEOStrong understanding of performance optimization best practices and toolsProficient using HTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP/MySQLExperience working with APIs (REST and JSON) and integrating 3rd party tools/servicesProficiency with version control (Git) and basic command line functionsExperience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and other data analytics toolsExperience implementing A/B and multivariate tests using Google Optimize or similarProven track record of taking product goals and requirements and delivering business solutionsExcellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage various projects based on changing business requirementsPermission to work in the US without sponsorshipNice to have, but not requiredBS in Computer Science or similar degreeExperience working with modern front-end UI frameworks, such as React.js, Vue.js, Gatsby.js, Next.js, or similarExperience using GraphQL API integrationWooCommerce experienceBasic knowledge of graphical tools, such as Photoshop, to crop, resize, and perform small adjustments to assetsExperience with Agile development processLocationRemoteBenefitsCompetitive salaryAnnual paid vacation & sick daysHealth & dental InsuranceShort term and long-term disability Insurance401(k) retirement planSource Code is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
