What we are looking for in the right candidates
An awesome portfolio of work demonstrating excellent visual design
Previous experience designing interfaces for large scale web applications is a plus
Demonstrated expertise in hand-coding XHTML/CSS to create semantic, clean, standards compliant versions of your designs
Demonstrated mastery of Photoshop to create pixel-perfect mockups
Solid understanding of how design decisions translate to user experience
Solid understanding of design pitfalls, especially with regards to web standards and browser compatibility issues
General understanding of web trends and next-generation web technologies
Ability to create forward-thinking designs while keeping graceful degradation in mind
Ability to learn and apply new concepts and techniques
Ability to work at the speed of a startup, but with attention to detail
Interested in collaborating with and inspiring your co-workers to produce the best possible work
Interested in participating in all aspects of product development
Experience with Ruby on Rails and Javascript is a plus
Great attitude and strong work ethic
