Job Responsibilities:
Owner of Category P&L – Category Growth Levers & Market Understanding
Have a thorough understanding of the industry, category, brand & retail objectives, online & offline competition, trends/events, competition, vendors with a strong understanding of growth levers
Strong focus on customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver a customer experience that is unparalleled
Stay on top of changing trends and strategic priorities through in-depth data analysis to predict customer behavior
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet P&L goals, drive necessary promotions, campaigns basis insights, marketing plans etc.
Work with marketing to identify the best RoI initiatives to build awareness and encourage trial across channels – SEM, SEO, ATL, etc. Work on relevant assortment, enable its discovery and ensure conversion
Implement industry insights and best practices to grow overall category & band P&Ls
Ownership of Brand P&L – Strategic Brand Partnerships Management :
Develop deep and long standing relationship with the partners to drive relationships from the strategic to tactical and create win-win situation in value chain
Own the brand growth numbers of the platform in terms of revenue, savings, margins, inventory management, products, returns, ordering, etc.
Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
Set up industry best practices and SOPs
Associations and collaborations:
External – Brand PoCs, Vendors etc.
Internal – Supply Chain, Marketing, Growth, Finance, Merchandizing, Operations, Analytics
Desired Skills
Exp with 4-5 years of FMCG (or) Ecommerce-MT Retail experience (must)
Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
Identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs
Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills
Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
