Job Description : Responsibilities

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, recommends, and leads all aspects of the transition process related to project administration and operational/program implementation of assigned practices/clinics.Performs administrative and clinical operations management functions and activities to support the physician practices/clinics as assigned.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Continuous: lifting to ½ pound, seeing, hearing, speaking, grasping, fingering.Frequent to continuous: sitting, standing, walking, bending/stooping below waist level, squatting, twisting, reaching above, at and below shoulders, repetitive arm/hand motion, lifting up to 10 pounds.Occasional: kneeling, crouching, climbing, walking on uneven ground, horizontal lift/carry up to maximum of 50 pounds with assistance, floor to waist up to 35 pounds and pushing/pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds.Operates computer, telephone, fax, printer, various office equipment and medical equipment.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.Access to vehicle as travel to off-site locations is involved.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, Health Care or other related field.Master’s degree in Business, Nursing or other related field; or five (5) years ambulatory management or transitions management experience may substitute for educational requirement.Current Hawaii state license as a Registered Nurse highly desirable.Valid U.S. driver’s license required in accordance with HI State law rules and regulations.Driver’s abstract or evidence of good driving record.Meet and comply with qualifications set forth in QMC Fleet Safety Policy.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certificate highly desirable.
B. EXPERIENCE:
In addition to education requirement, five (5) years of administrative, operational and clinic practice leadership in primary care and specialty service lines experience demonstrating competence in applying general operational practices, human resource practices, accounting and budgeting principles, and coordination of administrative functions, preferably in a physician group practice or clinic associated with a multi-hospital health system.In addition to education requirement, two (2) years supervisory experience.Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
o Knowledgeable of HIPAA, state and federal regulations governing confidentiality, release of information (ROI) and record retention.
o Knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM) and value-based programs including but not limited to merit-based incentive payment systems (MIPS), Payment Transformation (PT) and other Alternative Payment Models (APMs) including Affordable Care Organizations (ACOs).
o Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement programs including, but not limited to Six Sigma/Total Quality Management and related techniques and methodologies in the healthcare field preferred.
EPIC or other electronic medical record experience highly desirable.
