Your Role and Responsibilities
The Network Tech Lead will work for the India/SA Deploy squad in CIO Network Engineering, with a particular focus on solution development, review and optimization as necessary in support of Network Engineering Local and global initiative deployment for India/SA Market.
Responsibilities:
This position involves liaising with APJ and Global Network Engineering Architects and vendors, primarily AT&T architects to ensure that appropriate network infrastructure is designed and implemented in accordance with the CIO Network Engineering requirements. Whilst, the position requires primarily architectural work, it is expected that the Network Tech Lead will be able to understand the technologies at a deeper level to help size and manage the Network infrastructure.
The position will be required to work with other solution architects and SMEs across Network Engineering, CIO domains, and vendors to ensure an appropriate solution is designed. The Network Tech Lead should be able to understand and balance requirements from different sources in complex environments and translate these into robust infrastructure designs.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Total IT work experience of 10-15 years with minimum 5 years of relevant Network SME/Architect experience
Detailed understanding of Data Networks (Juniper, Cisco, routing, switching, Firewalls, Load balancers) and Security
Infrastructure includes, but not limited to:
Network Infrastructure and Applications
LAN / WAN and other networking technologies
Security infrastructure
Facilities management – Power, A/C, Cabling
Python scripting skills would be an added advantage
Should have basic knowledge of Finance terms which will be referred to build Network Cost case. Should be experienced in doing Cost benefit analysis while proposing network solutions.
