Job Description : Overall Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for the delivery of project controls on complex projects within the C&I Business

Key Accountabilities:
Leading by example, communicating purpose and expectations, developing and motivating the team, creating inclusivity, participation and involvement and encouraging innovation and creativity

Instructing and supervising subordinates in the delivery of project controls functions to the C&I business in accordance with the C&I PMO Strategy and QinetiQ Operating Framework

Monitoring, Controlling and Reporting on Project Performance for projects up to LCM level 3 (LCM Level as defined in QinetiQ Operating Framework)

Undertaking tasks and activities, as required, in the delivery of project controls functions to the C&I business in accordance with the C&I PMO Strategy and QinetiQ Operating Framework

Championing Best Practice and applying lessons learned within the team, with programme and project teams and other key delivery partners

Developing and maintaining regular, open and positive lines of communication within the team, with the leadership, programme and project teams and other key delivery partners

Motivating and coordinating the team to achieve specified objectives

Promoting the wider public good in all actions and acting in a morally, legally and socially appropriate manner in interactions with stakeholders and members of the organisation

Successful outcomes of this role:
Up-to-date, accurate, reliable and timely outputs that are trusted and accepted by the leadership, programme and project teams in support of projects up to LCM Level 3

Project Controls outputs that contribute to meeting or exceeding business plan revenue and margin targets for projects up to LCM Level 3

Established and regular engagement with the leadership, programme and project teams for projects up to LCM Level 3

Maximisation of team morale, motivation, productivity and retention

Person Specification

Essential Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or equivalent or 8 years’ relevant experience
