The University of Michigan, School of Nursing (UMSN) Office of Admissions and Records (OAR), is looking for an Undergraduate Recruiter who will report to the Recruiting Manager. The Undergraduate Recruiter will manage specific aspects of the recruiting and admissions processes for the School of Nursing; coordinate admissions related issues with students, faculty, and staff including internal and external constituencies; recruit high-quality applicants from diverse populations to the undergraduate and graduate degree programs; manage all processes related to undergraduate admissions; work with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to meet enrollment targets; and coordinate the administrative and operational activities for all prospective student events for the School of Nursing.
Primary responsibilities include managing the undergraduate recruitment and admissions process, both undergraduate freshman and transfer admission. Help with recruitment and admissions for masters and doctoral programs.
Advise prospective students on admissions processes and academic opportunities. Meet with prospective students and their families to explain School of Nursing and University admissions procedures, and answer questions on academic programs. Develop and deliver presentations about the programs in the School of Nursing to prospective students.
Develop targeted recruiting strategies (including outreach, events, and marketing messages) based on data, focus groups, and market research. Coordinate and implement recruitment strategies to produce a diverse applicant pool. Contribute website and social media content related to undergraduate admissions and recruiting.
Represent the School of Nursing at college fairs, transfer fairs, high school visits, receptions, and other public service programs and events. Manage and execute all logistics for events related to prospective students to all undergraduate programs.
Review applications for undergraduate and graduate programs. Make recommendations for awards and scholarships. Work with members of the admissions committee to ensure applications are reviewed according to committee guidelines.
Work with the M-Pathways Student Administration System and Business Objects to query data from the University of Michigan databases. Provide reports, trends, and statistics on current and historical admissions trends.
Develop relationships with prospective students from diverse populations. Positively influence prospective students’ decision to apply to and enroll at the School of Nursing.
Track prospective student correspondence through Salesforce CRM. Create regular communications through Marketing Cloud as it relates to events attended, upcoming programs, admissions information.

Required Qualifications*
A bachelor’s degree in a related field; master’s degree in business, higher education or other related fields is preferred.
Three (3) or more years of experience in admissions, recruiting or other related field.
Have very strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to receive and convey information clearly and concisely using various mediums.
Proficiency at the advanced level with Microsoft Office and Google Drive products especially Excel/Google Sheets; strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data and present findings in charts, graphs, and PowerPoint.
Experience with M-Pathways/Oracle and Business Objects helpful.
Can participate in some travel in and out of state and work some evenings and weekends.
Have a valid driver’s license to operate University owned vehicle.
Additional Information
Shift/Hours/Days: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; some weekend and/or evening hours are required, along with some overnight travel to recruiting events.
Salary: The target salary range for this position is $47,000 – $50,000 per year. The actual salary determined will be based on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
