Job Description : SEC Reporting Manager with a multi-national company.

Summary

The SEC Reporting Manager will be responsible for the preparation of all required SEC filings including Form 10-Q and 10-K, proxy statement, Section 16 filings and any other filings as deemed necessary. Additionally, you will have a lead role researching and documenting technical accounting positions and memos and internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Responsibilities
Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K and manage the internal and external review for these documents. This role is a lead role in the Company’s external communications are requires being actively involved in the business and is more than just inputting numbers in a form.
Prepare quarterly earnings release.
Manage the SEC reporting calendar.
Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation, and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner. Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team.
Lead the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors.
Actively involved with Company’s program of internal compliance by establishing and monitoring appropriate internal controls and policies to ensure conformance and compliance with US GAAP and other statutory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley.
Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues.
Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive company-wide accounting policy documents to improve clarity and consistency.
Support month end and year end closing.
Participate in other projects as requested.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
Active CPA license required.
7+ years of relevant experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment) with at least 4 years of experience with large public accounting firms with heavy exposure to SEC and financial reporting.
Super user level expertise with Workiva – Wdesk and Business Wire is required.
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations is required combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues.
The ability to clearly and concisely document technical accounting and reporting matters.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Independently motivated, detail oriented and good problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Experience with large ERP systems is a plus.
