Job Description : Quest Integrity, a global leader in inspection and engineering services, is seeking a Senior Accountant who will provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. This particular role will be responsible for the financial books of multiple Quest Integrity businesses along with assisting the finance group during month end. This role is a key role within the finance organization of Quest Integrity and offers an opportunity to expand from one geography to provide support to other Quest Integrity entities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Analyse financial information and summarizing financial results.Review project profitability and income statement variance analysisReview the balance sheet and perform a variance analysis of movementsComplete monthly balance sheet reconciliations which are assigned to this roleFocus on tax compliance, state business registration, contract review, and non-profit tax filingProvide support and analysis as part of the month end processAssist with financial and tax audits.Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-complianceAssisting with preparing and monitoring budgetsEvaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend and implement procedural and system change to increase accuracy and efficienciesPerforming other accounting duties ad supporting junior staff as required or assignedKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered7 – 10years’ relevant accounting / business experienceCPA preferredExperience with MAS500 a plus, but experience with other ERP systems will be consideredProficient user of ExcelInternational experience in Canada would be a plusProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employeesGreat organizational skills and being responsible for multiple projects simultaneouslySafety aware and promote within overhead teamAbility to form and maintain strong working relationships with function heads and regional finance communityAbility to communicate effectively to both Finance and non-finance personnelShow strong willingness to challenge processes and seek both improvements and consistencyDemonstrate strong willingness to question and provide appropriate challenge to the businessDemonstrate strong ethical values and communicates with openness and honestyStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood planning and organizational skillsWorks well under pressure and is deadline drivenAbility to discuss issues clearly and concisely at all levels within the organizationAbility to work proactively to analyze problems/issues and identify solutionsTEAM provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.Job Type: Full-time
