Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities:
Support short term process improvement activities including better collaboration of real-time program dynamics among all finance and category BU teams,
Enhancement of data analytics and evaluations of assumptions for Contra reserves
Supporting design of the E2E future state transformation, automation, data standardization and rate accuracy efforts
Proactively communicating with multiple stakeholders on observations and areas of improvement.
Collaborating with account management team to guide on contra transactions and programs proactively to enable appropriate recording of contra accruals while remaining fully compliant with US SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) requirements
Support for providing guidance to Contra delivery, CO Finance & category teams on key issues, project management, advising on emerging issues and ad hoc policy issues, working in conjunction with the business compliance team to ensure HP policy and US GAAP has been properly implemented.
Evaluating judgments and assumptions in calculations of rates and accruals in a dynamic environment
Performing accounting control reviews of current and emerging contra programs
Support future state E2E Contra process and control environment
These activities will involve:
Developing and researching clear contra guidance for teams to follow
Pro-actively identifying and highlighting problems and providing mature and clear guidance to support month end close activities.
This will include providing accounting and process in the above areas, facilitating audit activity, consulting on processes, and ensuring compliance with HP financial policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Knowledge of the systems and processes related
Ability to operate in a matrix environment and deal with ambiguity.
Excellent understanding of US GAAP and Local GAAP and Reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical skills.
Building trusted relationship and a strong collaboration.
Strong communication skill, catering to a wide variety of audiences.
Strong business acumen
Strong understanding of HP’s policies and processes.

Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree in Accounting with a Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA / CPA/ ACA) and/or MBA degree from a recognized university.
6+ years of experience in a finance function
Prior experience in working on Contra is a plus
Experience in data elements in S4, excellent data mining skills
