The VICI brand has a strong e-commerce presence and sells 90% of its product online, which is shipped from its corporate warehouse located in Concord, CA.
VICI’s tremendous growth can be traced back to the talented individuals that have joined our company over the years. We are now seeking a talented Senior Inventory Accountant to join our Accounting Team.

Essential Functions
Streamline journal entries and reconciliations
Partner with Accounts Payable team on how to streamline shared processes, such as return-to-vendor reconciliations
Partner with related business teams on process improvement, such as merchandising, warehousing and operations
Build and test key tools for system developments, as well as review proposed changes and assess the impact to inventory processes; develop test scenarios and plans, as necessary
Develop inventory reports and analyses, monitor inventory transactions (e.g.: Receiving, COGS, Returns, Shrink), and investigate/resolve issues within the system if applicable
Work closely with internal teams to ensure that all inventory transactions flow through successfully, and that the accounting is consistent with system and financial reporting
Assist with ad-hoc reports which may require creating new financial reports which analyze different areas of the business and analyze monthly/quarterly financials, including review of variances
Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries
Responsible for reconciling general ledger to subledger, variance analysis, administrating physical inventory counts for multiple warehouses, and other journal entries as deemed necessary for inventory accounting maintenance.
Preparation of internal and external ad hoc reporting and audit deliverables in accordance with GAAP ASC 330 and Accounting for Inventory Policy.
Ensure timely communication, escalation and resolution of lease accounting questions, issues and requests from internal and external customers.
Maintaining a high level of customer service within our team and among other teams by creating transparent processes, effective communications, and developing ways to eliminate process bottlenecks.
Recommend and implement process improvements as appropriate to simplify, standardize and streamline efforts.
Continuously evaluate department operations and make necessary process improvements to improve department productivity
May perform other duties as assigned in support of the overall success of the company

Work Environment
Works in an indoor environment, temperature controlled
Standing and walking for long periods, sitting intermittently
Use office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer
Occasionally lift or pull up to 20 pounds
Education and Experience
Have a bachelor’s degree with a major or in Accounting or equivalent work experience
Minimum five (5) years of inventory accounting experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm PST. Some flexibility with hours as long as expectations of the role are meet. Extended hours may be necessary as needed to achieve deadlines.
Location
This position can be preformed in the following locations depending on the preference of the candidate
100% on-site in our Concord, CA office
100% remotely with the occasional travel in-office for meetings
Hybrid of remote and Concord, CA
