POSITION SUMMARY
1. Performs and processes M-Mode, Two dimensional, Color Flow and Doppler Echocardiograms; assists with Transesophageal Echocardiograms.
2. General supervision of the technical staff.
3. Delegation of specific responsibilities to technical staff.
4. Compliance of technical staff to the ICAEL standards.
5. Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
6. Working with the medical director, medical staff and technical staff to ensure quality patient care.
7. Daily technical operation of the laboratory. (staff scheduling, patient scheduling, laboratory record keeping)
8. All laboratory duties delegated by the medical director, department director or Clinical manager.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Graduation from accredited Echocardiolgraphy program
Must be ARDMS or CCI registered.
Experience
Minimum of one year in Adult Echocardiography.
Documented past experience with ICAEL standards.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to work well with others; ability to work in a demanding field; flexibility to adapt to changes.
Current (AHA) BLS.
Continuing Education Requirements:
The supervisor must document at least 30 hours of Echocardiography related continuing education over a period of 3 years. (All hours must be related to Echocardiography)
Yearly accumulated continuing education must be kept on file and available for submission upon request.
