Key Responsibilities

Design and Development of key functionality within the application
Carry out design reviews/code reviews at agreed points throughout the project life cycle
Work closely with the vendor development team to monitor the design/development undertaken by them
Hands on design and development of technical artifacts
Participate in technical reviews; define/Improve processes on configuration management, deployment and resiliency planning for the application.

Competencies:
Essential:

Extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Tuning
7-9 years of exp in SQL and Oracle development.
Hands on experience in managing very large databases
Hands on experience in interpreting AWR, ADDM, Active session history to understand database bottlenecks to solve complex database performance issues
Experience in developing database centric applications using Oracle PL/SQL
Working experience on any of the cloud Technologies such as AWS/Azure/ GCP
Experience in designing logical and physical data models
Strong understanding of Oracle internal memory and process architectures, backup recovery, high availability and replication architecture
Coding experience in Python 3.x or Java 8+
Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices on configuration management and code refactoring.
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Preferred to have experience on Database Migration from 11g to higher versions
Candidate should have knowledge on JIRA, Git
Good to have experience on Unix, Python, Java
Exposure to designing / working on enterprise data lake is a plus, good to have experience on data profiling, data catalog services
Preferred to have knowledge on big data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark
Candidate should be a quick learner, flexible who can adapt to understand and work on multiple databases
Must be able to work in fast paced environment and be able to adapt to changing requirements.
Agile experience is a must.
Big Data exposure is good to have
Exposure to technology development projects and the full technology development lifecycle
Excellent Communication and Inter-personal skills, both with business customers and with fellow IT professionals (Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers).
